Crime thriller speaks of tech menace

It appears the Pollachi sex scandal, which shook the nation, is inspiring many filmmakers. The latest one to join is Balamithran who is coming out with a crime-thriller Udukkai, which talks about how young girls get trapped through social media and are sexually harassed. “The film focuses on the menace of technology advancement and how it upsets human lives. There’s a huge message to parents as well,” Balamithran says.

Vipin, Umar, Sanjana Singh, Ankitha, Lakshmi, Valeena, ‘Naan Kadavul’ Rajendran and Mayilsamy play key roles.  Sorkho has penned the lyrics and scored the music as well.
