The makers of Taramani, starring Vasanth Ravi, Andrea and Anjali, are keen to release the film in July. Directed by Ram of Thanga Meengal fame, it is currently in the post-production stage.

Producer J Sathish Kumar tells DC, “We decided to name the film after the place (Taramani), because the story is set there. The area has many IT industries, where you can meet different kinds of people. The director has listened to true stories, especially about love failures and tiffs between partners. The present generation can definitely relate to the film. I am not saying this will be preachy, but it has come out quite well. Taramani will impact, refine and change the mindset of the audience significantly.  Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music is the biggest plus and I’d say this would be one of his best albums till date.”

Sathish adds that Taramani was shot mostly in and around Rajiv Gandhi Salai and East Coast Road.  “Only the situation plays the villain here.   This will be different from  Ram’s usual films. We’re releasing the teaser on May 21,” he explains.

Anjali played a significant role in Ram’s directorial debut Kattradhu Tamizh and Taramani is the director’s third film. Interestingly, Andrea, for the first time, composed a single titled Soul of Taramani for this romantic drama. Before concluding, Sathish smiles, “I always believe that a good film will be received well. There is no good or bad time to release a film —  if it’s good, the audience will make it successful.”
