Ajith cancels AK 57 shoot; pays homage to J Jayalalithaa

Ajith was busy shooting for his ongoing film AK 57 in the locales of Bulgaria, when the news of CM J Jayalalitha’s demise reached him. He expressed his profound sadness through a statement immediately.
Not just that, the actor made his way to Chennai to pay his respects to the deceased soul! Even though he was not able to get a direct flight from Bulgaria, the Vedalam star boarded a flight to Chennai from Romania. Thala with wife Shalini and Richard (Shalini’s brother and actor) paid their respects at J Jayalalitha’s memorial in the wee hours of the morning yesterday. It is said that the actor is on a quick visit and will return to Bulgaria as soon as possible to resume the shooting.
Kamal and Vikram offer their condolences
Actors Kamal Haasan and Vikram were other prominent actors who couldn’t be part of the funeral. The former, took to Twitter to offer his condolences, whereas the Iru Mugan star, who is currently in New York, issued a statement expressing his shock and sadness. He stated, “Not only was she a great leader, but an icon in the eyes of a million fans like me. Her persona, her inner strength, her eloquence will always be missed. It’s truly a great loss to the whole of India.”
