While making a film with pets, usually dogs are the preferred ones. However, Vincent Adaikalraj, who produced Satyajit Ray’s last script, Target, is attempting something new for his Tamil venture. His next film, titled Meow, under Chinnaas Palanisamy’s direction, has a Persian cat in the lead role. A revenge saga titled Meow is all about a cat named ‘Selfie,’ which seeks vengeance on four youngsters who create problems for the animal. How the foursome escape from Selfie’s rage forms the bulk of the movie, says Chinnaas.
“A lot of CG has been used in the film, and graphic designer Ramesh Acharya has canned 550 shots of the cat in CG. Meow is a tribute to pet lovers,” he claims.
“The comedy thriller will go well not only with children, but other types of audiences as well,” he vouches. While Raja is the hero, new girl Gayathri plays the heroine. Other actors include Sanjay Micky, Haydon, Kumar, Daniel, and Shiney.
