Krishna is an omniphobic in Kalari
Vidya Pradeep, who plays Krishna's pair, essays the role of a beautician.
Post Pandigai, where he essayed an aggressive street fighter, Krishna has been getting versatile roles. His upcoming flick Kalari, directed by Kiran Chand is one such film, which is set in Vathuruthy in Kochi. Kiran tells DC about the film which is about the strained father-son relationship.
“I wanted a new location and hence chose Vathuruthy. Also, the story is based on a real life incident that took place there. Krishna plays a guy with omniphobia who wants to lead a peaceful life. On the other hand, his father, essayed by MS Bhaskar is a rogue and lives life at his own will. The ego clash that arises between father and son and its repercussions form the rest,” explains the director.
He adds, “We all know kalari is a form of self-defense. Kalari also means war field. Here in my film, I talk about how the protagonist’s life turns into a battle field.”
Vidya Pradeep, who plays Krishna’s pair, essays the role of a beautician. Samyukta Menon debuts as Krishna’s sister in a solid role. While RP Gurudev cranks the camera, popular playback singer Prasanna turns music composer with this film.
