Remember the menacing Vittal Prasad (played by Thakur Anoop Singh) who was pitted against Suriya in Si 3? The actor is back at it again. Si 3 is getting a reboot in Hindi and the makers have roped in Thakur Anoop Singh to reprise his role again! The remake will mark ace cinematographer Ravi K Chandran’s debut as a director in Hindi. Funded by Pen Movies, this version will have Sunny Deol playing the role of Durai Singam.

Speaking to DC, Thakur says, “I have already worked with Pen Movies in Si 3 and Commando 2. Since they knew my work, they were kind and sweet enough to ask me if I can do Si 3 in Hindi as well. The shooting of the flick may go on floors by the end of 2017 tentatively. Sunny Deol is currently busy with a couple of projects and is expected to wrap it up soon.”

I owe my success to Si 3 and television series Mahabharata, says the actor. “The success of the film got me great scripts in Telugu and other languages. Recently, when I went to Malaysia, they recognised me and were welcoming. Si 3 and Mahabharata had released in Malaysia which gave me the maximum popularity. These are the people I’d look forward to work with,” he adds.

Thakur is also doing Udgarsha, a Tamil-Telugu-Kannada trilingual as a hero. “I’m paired opposite Sai Dhansika in the film which also has Sunil Kumar Desai, Baahubali fame Prabakar and Kabir Duhan Singh. We have wrapped up the first schedule recently,” he concludes.

Apart from films in Marathi, Kannada and Bollywood, Thakur is on the verge of signing a big Tamil flick.
