The first day of shoot with a debutant director, limited technicians and just one camera and a few lights made me think that I had made a mistake of signing this film. So, I was so hesitant to go for the second day of shoot. After the makers explained to me that the film is about the hazardous life-threatening 'Blue Whale' game and based on a real life incident, I was convinced. And today when I saw the final product it has turned out awesome, I felt ashamed of my lack of knowledge that a quality film can be taken with limited resources. My sincere apologies to director, producer and cameraman”, revealed actress Poorna in front of the entire gathering at the promo meet of her upcoming film Blue Whale.

Poorna, who always surprises the audience with her choice of roles, has done it once again with the social thriller Blue Whale, directed by Ranganathan. She plays an Assistant Commissioner of Police who takes up the mission of finding out the whereabouts of a boy who is missing after he starts playing the Blue Whale game.  She added, “I am happy to be part of a film which was inspired from a true incident and has a huge social message.” Kabhish Khanna plays the boy who gets affected by the game.

Bankrolled by Madhu and Arumai Chandran, Blue Whale has music by Ganesh Raghavendhra.
