Chiyaan Vikram's son to make debut with Arjun Reddy remake, hunt on for female lead
Will filmmaker vijay direct the flick?
It has been made official that Chiyaan Vikram’s son Dhruv will be making his debut with the Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy. Vikram himself confirmed the news!
So far, only the protagonist of the film has been finalised in the cast, and now speculations have started making the rounds — as to who would bag the heroine’s role essayed by Shalini Pandey in the original version. Buzz is that either Akshara Haasan or Shriya Sharma (known for playing the daughter of Suriya and Jyothika in Sillunu Oru Kadhal) would be roped in.
Since the makers are looking out for someone very fresh, the latter might stand a better chance, says an insider.
Social media was also abuzz with rumours predicting who the director might be. Vikram himself took to Twitter with a cryptic picture keeping fans guessing — the popular choice being Vijay. But when contacted, the filmmaker said, “I just got to know about this rumour, but so far I haven’t been approached by anyone. Vikram and Dhruv are family to me, and I wish them the best for this film.”
