Aadhav Kannadasan and Ashok Selvan team up
While the actor is awaiting the release of Ezhil's Pagal, he has signed a film where he will share screen space with Ashok Selvan.
Aadhav Kannadasan, who made his debut with Ponmaalai Pozhudhu, went on to play a crucial role in Deekay’s Yaamirukka Bayamey. After a hiatus of nearly two years, the actor is back with two projects in his kitty. While the actor is awaiting the release of Ezhil’s Pagal, he has signed a film where he will share screen space with Ashok Selvan.
Speaking to DC, Aadhav says, “It is a fun-filled movie, directed by debutant Karthik. It is going to be entertaining as most of the technicians are more or less below 30 years of age. Ashok and I have equal weightage in the film and we will start shooting in early 2017. The rehearsals started yesterday and it might go on for 15 to 20 days. The casting call for the heroine’s role and other technicians are underway.”
The actor claims that Pagal is on the lines of Paruthiveeran and Madha Yaanai Kootam — “It will be a proper village based script, so it was relatively new for me. We are almost done with the shoot and post-production have begun,” he adds.
Aadhav claims that the two-year hiatus has helped him analyse films in detail.
“The reason I took a break was because I was offered roles similar to Yaamiruka Bayamey. So, I decided to take it slow and watched a lot of films to understand the audience’s pulse. I produced a short film titled Oliyum Oliyum, which made it to the Chicago Film Festival. Also, I just finished directing a short film, which is in post-production,” he concludes.
