Arulnithi gets a chartbuster song title for his next
Mu Maran, a former assistant to filmmakers like Suresh Krishna, KV Anand and Lawrence, wields the megaphone for the first time.
The evergreen number Iravukku Aayiram Kangal, written by legendary Kannadasan from Sivaji Ganesan-Devika starrer Kulamagal Radhai, is now the title of Arulnithi’s next. Mu Maran, a former assistant to filmmakers like Suresh Krishna, KV Anand and Lawrence, wields the megaphone for the first time.
Talking to DC, Maran tells us, “Iravukku Aayiram Kangal means ‘the night has thousand eyes’. It went well with my script, which takes place in the night. In the crime thriller, a series of incidents take place in the day and how Arulnithi, who plays a call-taxi driver, unravel them forms the crux.”
The director says that he was inspired by real-life incidents that were reported by newspapers. “Arulnithi will be sporting a beard and a different hairstyle for this flick,” he adds. All other cast and crew will be finalised soon, he reveals.
