Tanya Ravichandran, who was last seen in Sasi Kumar’s Bale Vellaiyatheva, will star next in Radha Mohan’s Brindavanam. Though the Sasi Kumar film was the first to bring her to the silver screen, Brindavanam is her official debut. As the first-look poster of the flick was recently out, Tanya, the female lead, talks to us about her role and the film.

“I am an urban girl in the film, which is in complete contrast to the one I played in Bale Vellaiyatheva. Even before BV’s release, I completed the shooting for Brindavanam. I was in my first year of college, when I bagged the role for this film, however Bale... hit the screens first,” she begins.

Further, she adds, “I am not in authority to reveal anything more about my role because it would compromise the script. One thing I can say about the character is that she is very bold. It will be one of the important roles in my career.”

Talking about her co-stars Arulnidhi and Vivekh, she says, “In the film, all three of us have equal importance. You can’t call it a male or a female-oriented film. It tells the story of the trio. We are present in almost every scene in the movie!”
On director Radha Mohan? “I didn’t know much about the film industry when I started working in the film, but I never felt that I was a debutante. Radha Mohan made sure that I was comfortable during the shoot. He was more or less a mentor for me during the film.”

Tanya also has another promising film ahead with actor Vijay Sethupathi, titled Karuppan. The film will be directed by R Pannerselvam, who is known for his debut film Renigunta.
