Another Adhe Kangal in K-town
The film is at its tail-end and the crew will next shoot the song sequences around Chennai.
CV Kumar’s production venture, directed by debutant director Rohin has been titled Adhe Kangal. Touted to be a romantic thriller, the film starts Kalaiarasan of Kabali fame, Janani Iyer and Sshivada in the lead roles.
Director Rohin reveals the reason behind choosing the title — “I can’t tell you the exact reason behind the title. We skimmed through many names of old films and we found this one to be apt for the film since it has something to do with eyes.”
Talking about Adhe Kangal, he says, “It is a straightforward thriller based on a love story. Revealing more than that would spoil the entire suspense.”
When probed if there is a love triangle involved in the film, he reveals, “Yes, sort of. And the suspense will be built around that.” The director also heaps praise on his producer and says there was no hassle in producing the film — “Only when CV Kumar sir okayed my script, I got the confidence that I have done some commendable work.”
