Chandini plays a guitar teacher
Chandini is equally excited about her extended cameo in Sibiraj's Kattapava Kaanum.
Chandini of Vil Ambu fame is probably one of the busiest actresses in K’Town with a dozen films at different stages of production. The actress is now awaiting the release of two of her films — Ennodu Vilayadu and Kattapava Kaanum in December.
Speaking to DC, Chandini says, “I play the character of Mini, a guitar teacher in love with Bharath’s character. I should thank director Arun Krishnaswami for etching strong female characters for me and Sanchita Shetty. I have a cute romantic track with Bharath and our performance will be natural and subtle. The director was specific that he didn’t want any exaggerated performance from us.”
The Nayyapudai actress claims that the core plot of the subject, which is based on horse racing, is a rarely dealt-with subject in Kollywood. “We shot the climax of Ennodu Vilayadu in Mysore and it was well-planned. Since it is a unique subject, we believe that it would be a new experience for the audience,” she quips.
Chandini is equally excited about her extended cameo in Sibiraj’s Kattapava Kaanum. “I play an air-hostess and my portion spans about 15 to 30 minutes. I would say that my character will bring about a much-needed twist in the film,” she asserts.
The petite actress now has Vandi with Vidharth, Suseenthiran’s untitled film and a Telugu film Inaa Ishtam Nuvvu with Keerthi Suresh and Naveen.
