Ace director Suresh Krissna known for cult movies like Baasha, Annamalai, and Sathya to name a few is exploring a new idea which would create an opening for talented aspiring filmmakers, technicians and artistes. The veteran’s next is a commercial film titled Hitler: Engirintho Vanthaan, which is made exclusively for a television channel.

Featuring Devyani, Delhi Ganesh, Bharat Kalyan, Arjun, Pavithra, the 2hrs 15 minute-long movie has been completed in a record nine days. Suresh speaks to DC in an exclusive. “In today’s scenario, there are many experienced writers, composers, directors, singers who are out of work for various reasons in Tamil cinema. Youngsters endowed with great talents are brimming with out-of-the-box themes, and many technicians and new actors find it difficult to enter the dream world. The idea behind making this small budget movie for television is to create an opening for many directors, technicians and actors,” he says.

Explaining more, he says, “This is also made as a commercial entertainer with noted film stars like Devyani, Delhi Ganesh and Vignesh, which otherwise would be released in theaters. While there are two songs composed by Deva, lyrics are written by Pa.Vijay. This telefilm aired on Zee Tamil is an aim to create an opening for those filmmakers, targetting the family audience.” He also says that with meticulous planning, he could  finish the film with a  budget of Rs  35 lakhs. In short, the idea is to open an industry; a parallel channel for movies.
