Aishwarya Rajesh is on cloud nine
The Kattapava Kaanom actress also adds that Vetri Maaran was happy with her performance.
Aishwarya Rajesh, known for her power-packed roles in critically-acclaimed films like Kaaka Muttai, and Dharmadurai, has finally started working with A-list actors Vikram and Dhanush in Gautham Menon’s Dhruva Natchthiram and Vetri Maaran’s Vada Chennai respectively.
An excited Aishwarya shares her experiences working in two promising films — “I have finished a schedule with Vikram sir and I can’t really reveal much about my character. Gautham sir is very particular that his heroines know the language they speak in the film. I was bit scared to act alongside Vikram sir, whose versatility is well-known. On the first day of shoot, Gautham sir gave me a tough scene with lengthy dialogues. I got it okayed in the first shot itself and despite his big stature, Vikram came to me and congratulated. That showed his down-to-earth nature.”
On Vada Chennai, she quips, “I initially thought working with Dhanush would be tough. I had never interacted with him much when he produced Kaaka Muttai. But after we started shooting for Vada Chennai, it was very comfortable. I had a lot of freedom to perform in my style.”
The Kattapava Kaanom actress also adds that Vetri Maaran was happy with her performance. “In terms of the language, the film requires a typical North Chennai slang, but it wasn’t difficult for me as I had already done it in Kakka Muttai,” she states.
However, she reveals that it was a bit tough to adapt to the locations where they worked. “We shot in many dirty and clumsy areas. We shot in Kasimedu’s slum area, and fish market; I even held fish in my hand and mingled with several locals, which was a different experience altogether. I will cherish that for the rest of my life!” she signs off.
