Composer Santhosh Narayanan has brought legendary singer KS Chithra on board to render a moving melody, with lyrics written by Vivek. Speaking to DC, the lyricist said, “Santhosh and I are teaming up with Chithra ma’am for the first time. It is a soulful, intense song with many emotions and will be an important part of the film. If I reveal anything about the lyrics, it would reveal the plot. I am wondering how the team is going to manage after the audio launch.”
Vivek cannot stop gushing about Chithra’s loving nature. “She does not have any airs. Even after singing thousands of songs, she is sincere and humble. This song has folkish lyrics and she completed it in one hour. Not once did she treat me like a newcomer.”
Vivek is on cloud nine after working with Ilaiyaraja in Merku Thodarchi Malai. “It was my long time dream to work with Ilaiyaraja. He said, ‘Having lived in a village, I myself don’t know the meaning to this line’ and appreciated my work,” he disclosed.
