Ace cinematographer MV Panneerselvam, has penned the story and screenplay.

A source in the know told DC, “Srikanth will be seen as a suave, charismatic person and has a dual dimension portrayal. In a way, he plays an anti-hero role with shades of grey. It is a cat and mouse game between him and the lead girl which forms the crux. Mirugaa is a vivid account of how women too can go to great lengths to get their point across.”
Others in the cast include Dev Ghill, Naira, Vaishnavi Chandran Menon, Dhwitha and Black Pandi. Shot in Pollachi, Munnar, Thalaikona, Chennai, Ooty and Kodaikanal, B Vinod Jain of Jaguar Studios bankrolls Mirugaa. Arul Dev is the music composer.
