Ranjan directs Vijay Vasanth in horror film
The film imparts a social message in the favour of women Ranjan.
Debutant director Ranjan Krishnadevan who was a former assistant to director Manoj Kumar, is making his entry in Tamil with a horror flick titled My Dear Lisa. Starring Vijay Vasanth and Chandini Tamilarasan in the lead roles, the film has Aadukalam Naren and Singampuli as supporting actors. My Dear Lisa will mostly release on or before Christmas, asserts the director.
Director Ranjan and Vijay Vasanth strongly say that this film has no connection with the 1987 horror film of the same name. “We have just borrowed the title for this film. My Dear Lisa (2017) is an out-and-out horror film set against a serious backdrop. The horror factor will not be diluted by the comedy sequences,” claims Vijay Vasanth.
Speaking to DC, Ranjan says, “The film imparts a social message in favour of women and I’m confident that it would connect well with the audience. My Dear Lisa is a fictional story that happens in and around Ooty. Chandini plays the titlular role of Lisa in the movie. There are four songs and five action sequences and the stunt blocks would be the highlight of the movie.” Produced by Ramesh Reddy, My Dear Lisa has composer DM Udhayakumar, cinematographer MRM Jaisuresh and editor G Rama Rao on board.
