Chennai: The state government on Thursday announced the list of awards for best films and best actors and issued government orders for the movies and artistes selected during the period 2009 – 2014. A press release from the secretariat said that the best movie would get Rs 2 lakh.
For actors and technical assistants five sovereigns of gold with citation will be given at a function to be presided by Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami, the release said. For movies portraying women in good light '1.25 lakh will be given, the release added.
