Para: A journey of 12 hours
The film has been shot extensively in Nagerkovil, Royapuram, Ennore and other parts of North Chennai.
After Pachai Engira Kaathu and Merlin, director Keera is all set for the release of his next film, Para. The film follows the story of a platform dweller, a pair of lovers who’ve eloped, an elderly couple, a thief, a lawyer, a politician, a policeman, and a dancer over a period of 12 hours – from midnight to noon. It has an ensemble cast that features Samudhrakani, Chandini Tamilarasan, Nithish, Munishkanth, Shaju Mon, and Venba, among others.
Talking about the project, Keera says, “I have taken inspiration from the people I come across in my day-to-day life. Para is about a bunch of people who, due to certain circumstances, are forced to move towards a particular place, and the problems they face in that process.”
He asserts that Samudhrakani’s role is the backbone of the film. “Kani plays a lawyer who loses his only child and uses his voice to represent the downtrodden sections of society. I am confident that the movie will create the right impact.” The film has been shot extensively in Nagerkovil, Royapuram, Ennore and other parts of North Chennai.
