Actress Gautami has lodged a complaint with the Chennai Police Commissioner alleging that they have been receiving death threats and that their property worth Rs 25 crore was stolen using fake documents.

Veteran actress Gautami and her daughter Subbulakshmi have lodged a complaint with the Chennai Police Commissioner alleging that they have been receiving death threats and that their property worth Rs 25 crore was stolen using fake documents.

She alleged that a builder named Alagappan and his wife breached trust and wrongfully took possessions of her land in Sriperumbudur.

In her complaint with the police, Gautami stated that she had purchased 46 acres of land in Sriperumbudur, near Chennai, with her earnings from the film industry. She claimed that the current market value of the land is approximately Rs 25 crore.

To cover her medical expenses and her daughter’s education, Gautami had intended to sell the land. Upon learning of her plans, a builder from the city reportedly approached her, offering to facilitate the transaction.

Gautami alleged that she granted the builder the power of attorney, who misused it to take control of her property.

The actress’s complaint has been forwarded to the Central Crime Branch (CCB) for further investigation. More details on the same will be out soon. The 55-year-old Gautami divorced Kamal Haasan in 2016, ending their 12 years of married life.

Gautami has done many Telugu films like ‘Chaitanya’, Bazaar Rowdy’, and ‘Bamma Maata Bangaru Baata’. She was also seen in key roles in films like ‘Manamanthaa’ and ‘Shakuntalam’.
