Amala returns to Tamil after 28 years

Amala Akkineni returns to the Tamil industry after a gap of 28 years. The actress who started with a dance film Mythili Ennai Kaadhali went on to become a big actress with roles alongside Rajini and Kamal in many blockbusters. She quit K’town after acting in the female centric film Karpoora Mullai in 1991 and got married to Nagarjuna. Now, she returns with a Dream Warrior Pictures’ production, a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu, where she essays Sharwanand’s mom.
Cherishing her second innings in Tamil, Amala took to twitter and remarked, “An actor is blessed with many lives. Usually after a film when I go back to work & everyone is going about their day normally with no idea of what I have been through in the last 2 weeks, I think to myself, ‘I just lived another exciting life & returned. How fortunate is that!’
