A stylish baddie is a ‘sub-collector’ now

Kannada’s stylish villain Deepak Shetty makes his foray into Tamil with a film titled Battery. The actor has been roped in for the crucial role of a sub-collector in the film, directed by Mani Bharathy.

Ammu Abhirami and Senguttuvan play the leads in the film. Battery is a medical thriller and is based on real-life incidents.

 “Since we could not find anyone in Tamil for the vital role of sub-collector, we auditioned many actors from Telugu and Malayalam and a chance viewing of Deepak’s Kannada film helped us get him on board. He fitted the kind of person I had envisioned”, says Bharathy.
