Debut director takes hockey as subject

In the aftermath of Pulwama terror attack and subsequent air strikes, many celebrities from Kollywood came forward to condemn the dastardly terror act and paid homage to the CRPF personnel who lost their lives. Debutant director Partiban Desingu Bharathi, whose movie Natpe Thunai is slated to release in April, also strongly condemned the Pulwama terror attack. “I am moved to tears as I express my deepest condolence to the families of the deceased. I don’t know when we will breathe the air of free India. Terrorism has to be eradicated.”

The director reveals his movie is based on hockey. “I planned to do a movie based on Thinai (Landscape) and this movie is based on Needhal Thinai (seashore). I belong to Pondicherry and so I was craving to do a film centered around this thinai. The film stars Hiphop Tamizha in his second lead role with director Karu Pazhaniappan and Pandia Rajan in an important role.
