Bobby Simha as a baddie in a supernatural thriller
Presented by Genesis Studio, Monica plays the titular role of Meera, a ghost.
With national award-winning actor Bobby Simha’s solo hero film Ko 2 hitting the screens today, his earlier commitments, where he had signed up to play hardcore villain, are gearing up for release. One such movie is Meera Jaakkiradhai, a supernatural thriller that has Monica playing the ghost. Reportedly, this was the last film of Monica, the child artiste-turned-heroine, who quit acting after her marriage, early last year.
Meera Jakkiradhai directed by RG Keshavan, a former army officer, is about a group of youngsters who drive down the East Coast Road, to research on the supernatural presence there. The bizarre experiences that follow, form the crux. The road, which starts from Thiruvanmiyur and extends to Puducherry and Mamallapuram, is infamous for paranormal activity — because of several accidents that have occurred there, claim locals.
Presented by Genesis Studio, Monica plays the titular role of Meera, a ghost. “Bobby will simply floor the audience with his menacing act,” the director claims.
