Madonna Sebastian, who hogged the limelight with her very debut film Premam has done only five films in the last 3 years. The Kavan girl was in the city for promoting her Tamil film Junga with Vijay Sethupathi.

“Basically, I am a trained singer and been performing right from the age of six. Acting happened to me accidentally. When Premam got released, I was a bit choosy with the scripts but not anymore. I slowly learnt how to go about it.

I want to work in films, which are comfortable for me. That way, it is not about number of films, but number of good films (smiles),” is how she starts the conversation.

Junga is your third film with Vijay Sethupathi, who also happens to be the producer of the movie, share your experiences. “He is like family. He is very friendly and comes under the category of best people to work with. I know how he approaches a scene and that was it was easier for me.   Not only on the sets, personally also, he’s a sensitive person who treats his subordinates well.”

Heaping praises on Sethu as a producer, she says, “In comparison to previous movies, in Junga he was much more tensed and getting irritated often, which means he has qualified himself as a good producer as well. As a producer also he paid me a good sum of amount though I didn’t ask for it. They took care of me well.”

Was not she apprehensive of accepting when Sayeesha is already there a heroine. “No, I am not! I am a secure person and don’t differentiate between roles. If the narration fascinates me, I would sign on the dotted line. It happened when director Gokul did his narration. I would call him a magician. He would pick up something from the air, plant it on the ground and that would become a hilarious comic scene. In Junga also, everything is seriously said, but they turn out to be funny.”

On her role in Junga she says, “I play a Telugu girl and it is a very interesting character. It’s actually an extended cameo with a peppy song.”

The pretty actress says that she is not able to spend much time with her music band ‘Everafter’.

“I have been travelling for my film shoots and not able to spend as much time as I want. Soon, we are coming out with a Tamil song.”
