Maaveeran Kittu is not about Eelam liberation

Vishnu Vishal started his career with a sports movie Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu, which was directed by Suseenthiran. The actor, who recently turned into a producer with Velainnu Vandhutta Vellakkaran that was a hit at the box-office, is teaming up with Susee for the third time. The film’s title was announced yesterday. Interestingly, Sri Divya will be romancing Vishnu for the second time in the movie, which also stars Parthiepan in a vital character and Soori providing comedy.

Apparently when Susee announced the intriguing title Maaveeran Kittu, it raised many brows. It is known that Kittu was a Sri Lankan Tamil rebel and one of the leaders of LTTE who fought for the Eelam liberation. But Susee was quick to clarify this when we queried him. “No, it is not about Eelam liberation or the Sri Lankan war. Maaveeran Kittu is about a brave person who fought for the rights of people of Tamil Nadu during 1985”. The shooting of the movie, which has Imman as the composer, commenced at Pazhani few days back.
