Taapsee Pannu apologises!
She spoke out recently on how south Indian films are obsessed with actresses' midriffs.
Taapsee, who was recently embroiled in a controversy pertaining to the comments she made on south Indian films in a comedy show, has now apologised for her remarks.
The actress, who debuted in the Telugu film Jhummandi Naadam directed by Raghavendra Rao, spoke out recently on how south Indian films are obsessed with actresses’ midriffs. This did not go down well with the Telugu audience or its filmmakers as they compared what she said to what she spoke about the film during its release.
Finally, the issue came to an end with Taapsee apologising in a video on her Facebook page. She said, “It took me a little while to understand what was wrong with what I said — because throughout the entire panel discussion, all I did was to make fun of myself, of how unfit I was for the film industry and how clueless I was about what was happening in the industry,” she said, adding, “I thought that’s what I mentioned. But apparently, it didn’t get conveyed, as a lot of people have been hurt. For me, what really mattered was how the person in question was feeling about it. So, I really want to apologise if I have hurt anyone’s sentiments”
