Irulan, a thriller with a strong message, is written and directed by 22-year-old Surya Prabhu with his 17-year-old brother Harsha Vardhan cranking the camera besides composing the music.

Surya says they were finalists at a short film national level competition, which gave them the confidence to foray into mainstream cinema. He is also in charge of VFX and editing. Talking about the story he says, “Five friends commit a major sin and a masked person who feels death penalty is the only punishment that should be given to them murders them one by one. And when the criminals come to know of the identity of the face behind the mask, they are in for a shock. It is a demon.”

Raj Mohan, Surya Prabhu, Prashanth and Aditya play the leads. There’s no heroine as such in Irulan.
