Nambiar 100 to celebrate iconic actor
Amitabh Bachchan, Rajkumar, Sivaji Ganesan and Rajinikanth and many others from film industry were part of his Sabarimala pilgrimage.
A grand event Nambiar 100 is being organised to mark the centenary celebrations of M.N.Nambiar, who dominated the film industry as a villain for over 50 years. He acted in more than 1,000 movies in multiple languages, including English. Besides being a noted actor, he was also a spiritual leader who was known as 'Maha Gurusamy' as he pioneered the movement of leading pilgrims to Sabarimala.
Speaking to DC, Siddharth Nambiar, the actor's grandson said, "We are celebrating the centenary of my legendary grandpa on November 19, with Isaignani Ilayaraja and DGP Vijayakumar as chief guests.
Vijayakumar sir has gone to Sabarimala several times with thattha. Though he was a villain on screen, he was a real hero in real life. We have invited many from the industry for the event. Veeramani Raju will begin the function performing bhajans."

Superstar Rajini, Sivakumar, Shivaraj Kumar, Bhagyaraj, P.Vasu , Venniradai Nirmala and others are expected to grace the occasion. A short film on Nambiar, which covers his film achievements, important events, nostalgic stories and real life persona, will also be screened for the gathering.
