Yogi Babu plays Pei in Pattipulam

Comedian Yogi Babu is the latest toast of K’town. Though he plays the lead role in many forthcoming films, he maintains that he would never leave essaying a comedian in films of other heroes. The actor’s next is titled Pattipulam, where he is portraying a character called Pei (ghost). The movie has Veerasamar as the lead hero and is helmed by debutant Suresh, a former assistant of Shakthi Chidambaram. Amitha Rao who has worked in films like Tharkkappu is the female lead.
Talking about Yogi Babu, Suresh says, “Since my mentor Shakthi sir is a humour specialist, I have learnt the trick of using comical elements in appropriate segments and reach the masses. Accordingly, Yogi Babu who appears for about an hour in the movie will bring the roof down with his rollicking comedy.”
On the story he adds, “There’s a place called Pattipulam in ECR. The youngsters in the village indulge in bike racing and how a family is affected by such racing forms the crux of the story narrated in a fast-paced racy manner.” Produced by Thirumurugan, the film is scheduled for March 22nd release.
