Kutrame Thandanai goes the Kaaka Muttai way!
Owing to its interesting premise, the movie was premiered at the Mumbai International Film Festival to a good response.
After receiving international acclaim for his movie Kaaka Muttai, National Award winning director M. Manikandan’s next venture Kutrame Thandanai is also making its presence felt in international film festivals. The movie, which has a host of talented actors including Vidharth, Aishwarya Rajesh, Pooja Devariya, Rahman and Nasser, is about an agent who’s desperately in need of money and is confused whether to remain silent or inform the cops about the murder of his young female neighbour. Isaignani Ilaiyaraja scores the music.
Owing to its interesting premise, the movie was premiered at the Mumbai International Film Festival to a good response. Next, it will be screened at the prestigious New York Indian Film Festival (NYIFF), which is set to take place between May 7 and May 14. Kutrame… will have its premier in the Regional Cinemas of India Panel section. Apart from this, Manikandan’s next film Aandavan Kattalai, featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Ritika Singh, went to the cutting floor last month.
Another Tamil movie, Narai Eludhum Suyasaridhai featuring ‘Delhi’ Ganesh, Manikandan, Aadhavan, Murali Krishna, Tharika, Praveen and ‘Mirchi’ Vijay will also be screened in the NYIFF festival. Actor/director Manikandan, who wrote the dialogue for horror film Pizza 2, has directed the movie.
