Pichuvakaththi on friendship and foes
An action-romantic drama, the story is about three fun-loving, jobless friends.
Inigo Prabhakaran, who was noticed for his performance in films like Azhagar Samiyin Kuthirai, Sundara Pandian and Rummy, has now been roped in as one of the heroes in the movie titled Pichuvakaththi. Giving him romantic company is Sri Priyanka of Kangaroo fame, who recently hogged the limelight after she was brought on board for a prominent role in Vikram’s Sketch.There is yet another pair — Senguttuvan and Anisha, in the film, which is helmed by debut director Ayyappan.
Speaking to DC, the director, a former assistant to Sundar C reveals, “An action-romantic drama, the story is about three fun-loving, jobless friends and how a playful act lands them in jail. Inigo and Sri Priyanka’s episodes are in the rural area, which was shot in Kumbakonam, while Senguttuvan and Anish’s portions are shot around the city.”
When asked if Pichuvakaththi will be laced with humour, he responds, “Yes, comedy is there throughout. We have a battalion of actors for the funny scenes — Yogi Babu, Ramesh Thilak, Balasaravanan, Naan Kadavul Rajendran, and Kaali Venkat, among others. There’s a hilarious chase with Yogi Babu, which can be termed as the highlight of the movie.” Music composer Rahnandhan, has been brought on board as the director claims that he wanted soulful and live songs for his movie.
