RP Bala's Aghori has all commercial elements
Bala reveals that the first half is a romantic drama which revolves around lead actors Adhav, Siddhu and a newcomer.
After Bala’s Naan Kadavul — a film based on the life of an aghori, here is producer RP Bala, (who released the Tamil version of Malayalam film Puli Murugan) who is touching upon a similar subject in his next film titled Aghori. The film is directed by Rajkumar, who has a few short films to his credit. Bala says, “It is not a hardcore theme on aghoris. The film is a fight between a devil and an aghori. The film is shot in a commercial manner.”
Bala reveals that the first half is a romantic drama which revolves around lead actors Adhav, Siddhu and a newcomer. “It is towards the pre-interval portion that the devil, played by Karthik, who did films like Pichaikkaran, enters their house to create havoc,” reveals Bala
When asked which actor would be essaying the titular role of an aghori, Bala was hesitant to reveal the identity and added that it would be a surprise factor in the movie. “It’s suspense! Right now, I cannot disclose his name. But I promise he is a big actor in Tamil cinema,” he adds.
The film uses extensive CG works, which will turn out to be an eyepleasing watch, Bala says — “The scenes involving the devil entering the premises and the rudhrathaandavam dance sequence in front of a Lord Shiva statue by the aghori, warranted CG work.” Jayachandran, who worked in Azhagar Samiyin Kuthirai is the art director for Aghori.
