Kalabhavan Mani turned down Suriya's S III?

Even as the mystery surrounding Kalabhavan Mani’s death is yet to be solved, here is a heart-wrenching news on why Mani turned down yet another opportunity to act with Suriya, despite the latter being ready to adjust certain issues. In fact, only a few know that Mani was touted to play the lead antagonist in the third edition of Singham franchise, which has been titled S III. Previously, Mani shared the screen with Suriya in super-hit movies Aaru and Vel — both directed by Hari.

Sources say that Suriya, along with the team of S III, approached Mani for the villain role. Unfortunately, the versatile actor turned down the offer citing his deteriorating health condition. We also hear that Suriya tried his best to convince Mani by saying that he need not be part of any strenuous action sequences. But, Mani, we believe, had requested the team not to disclose to anyone that they had approached him for the role.” Suriya, in his condolence message has said, “Respects to a great performer! A Good friend! Will cherish time spent with him! (sic).”
