Chandini back into the limelight!
Chandini also plays the title role of Ranguski in Raja Ranguski.
Chandini, who made her acting debut in 2010, has come a long way in her career. She terms her entry into the industry as an ‘accident’. “It was completely new for me. I had to concentrate on my studies then. Once I was done with it, I took a back seat and analysed what went wrong — which is when I began to choose roles wisely. It was Vil Ambu, which brought me back to the limelight,” she begins.
Having completed shooting for Raja Ranguski, the actress is now busy with her upcoming film Vanangamudi with Arvind Swami, Ritika Singh, Simran and Nandita Swetha in the lead roles.
“I play a journalist and I appear throughout the film. I was able to share screen space with all the actors. There is also a flashback, in which I am seen as as aspiring journalist. My transition into a well-known reporter has been captured well. Director Selvah and I discussed my costume, expressions and accessories that would establish the difference,” she elaborates.
Chandini also plays the title role of Ranguski in Raja Ranguski — “I essay the role of a writer who loves horror-thrillers. I finished dubbing for my character and the post-production is progressing at a brisk pace. I also have Vandi (with Vidharth as the hero), where I play a working class woman living in a housing board, working at a petrol bunk for a living.” “I am also currently doing a Telugu film alongside Keerthy Suresh. I am looking to hold my space in Tamil and then move to other languages,” she concludes.
