CHENNAI: Superstar Rajinikanth’s possible “plunge in politics” may have excited his numerous fans and triggered a debate in political circles, but the matinee idol on Thursday declined to answer any political questions.
hough this could have disappointed his fans and media as well, former judge of Supreme Court Justice Markandey Katju has expressed a different “view” on Rajini’s ability in handling political affairs. “Like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth has nothing in his head,” he expressed.
On Thursday Rajini declined to answer any political questions, amidst speculation over his possible political plunge. “Please don’t ask political questions,” he replied when reporters enquired about his recent comments on entering politics. He however expressed joy over meeting his fans after an eight-year gap, and said the next round of meeting with his fans would be finalised in the coming days.
Asked what message he had for his fans, the 66-year-old superstar said, “take care of your family. Give up all vices.” He had given the same advice to fans on Monday, asking them not to touch cigarettes and alcohol. He had also said he would keep away “money-minded people.” “My life is in the hands of God. I’m not sure what he has in store for me. But I will always perform the duty that he bestows on me. So, don’t feel disappointed if I don’t enter politics,” he had told his fans here.
