Nivas Prasanna signs Kumki 2
The composer has now been brought on board for Prabhu Solomon's Kumki 2.
Composer Nivas Prasanna’s debut album, Thegidi, was a massive hit and it still lingers in the minds of people. Subsequently, the films that followed Thegidi, brought him much-needed recognition, with Sethupathi catapulting him to a different league.
The composer has now been brought on board for Prabhu Solomon’s Kumki 2. Nivas is over the moon to have bagged this prestigious project — a sequel to the film of the same name, released in 2012. “As you know, I’m extremely choosy about my projects and when this film came by, it was overwhelming. Prabhu Solomon’s manager met me and after nearly two months, I got on board. It was a surprise and I need to live up to sir’s expectation,” begins Nivas.
Prabhu Solomon and D Imman have given us blockbuster hits in the past and Kumki was one among them. “I hope to match up to their expectations. We have started composing and have wrapped up one song. Prabhu sir has great knowledge in music and it helps me a lot,” he adds.
Nivas believes that he is making his foundation strong in the industry by choosing the right projects. “I’m joining hands with the Sethupathi team (director SU Arun Kumar and actor Vijay Sethupathi) again for a another project. Apart from this, I have completed working on Ashok Selvan’s Nenjamellam Kadhal and CV Kumar’s untitled flick, a love story,” he reveals.
