Nayanthara’s movie a remake of Korean film?
during the film mahurat it was simply said that Netrikann is a thriller and a dog plays a crucial role in it
Nayanthara’s 65th film Netrikann, which is produced by her beau Vignesh Shivan in his newly launched banner Rowdy Pictures and went on the floors recently is a remake of Korean film Blind. Nayan will play the role of a visually challenged cop in the crime thriller, directed by Milind Rau. Sources say it was Nayan who suggested this script to Milind.
The Kolamavu Kokila actress will reprise Korean actress Kim Ha-Neul who did the original Blind and won two national honours for her performance. There was, however, no official word about it during the film Mahurat where it was simply said that Netrikann is a thriller and a dog plays a crucial role in it. It is learnt that Milind has made necessary changes to go with the local flavour and Nayan’s image for the Tamil adaptation.
Netrikann, is the title of a yesteryear blockbuster film of Rajinikanth produced by K Balchander’s Kavithalaya Productions and interestingly, the banner launched Nayan in Tamil through their movie Ayya. Vignesh has taken permission from Kavithalaya to use the title. Girrishh has been roped in to compose music and Karthik N Ganesh is handling the cinematography.
