Trisha, Leo Director Slam Mansoor Ali Khan's Sexist Remark
Soon her director Lokesh rallied behind her and condemned Khan
Actress Trisha who is back in the reckoning with hits like ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ and “Leo’ slammed her 'Leo' co-star Mansoor Ali Khan for his derogatory comments about her. Trisha was seen delivering a powerful performance in 'Leo' but did not share the screen with Mansoor. However, in a recent interview, Mansoor remarked about missing the opportunity to share a ‘bedroom scene’ with her, adding that he has done his share of ‘rape scenes’. The comment drew strong criticism from Trisha and the film's director, Lokesh Kanagaraj.
In a recent interaction with the media, Mansoor Ali Khan, who was a part of 'Leo', made a repulsive remark about Trisha. During the interaction, Khan spoke about the film and not getting a chance to share the screen with her. After the video went viral, Trisha called out the actor and strongly condemned what Mansoor said. She took to X and wrote, "A recent video has come to my notice where Mr. Mansoor Ali Khan has spoken about me in a vile and disgusting manner. I strongly condemn this and find it sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive and in bad taste. He can keep wishing but I am grateful never to have shared screen space with someone as pathetic as him and I will make sure it never happens for the rest of my film career as well. People like him bring a bad name to mankind (sic).”
Trisha is looking to make a comeback into Tollywood with a film opposite megastar Chiranjeevi which is kept on hold for now. The actress has many hits in Telugu like ‘Varsham’ and ‘Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule.
