Even as his first movie Imai, where he plays a ruffian, is yet to hit the marquee, actor Sarish has bagged yet another bilingual film with ace director Vincent Selva. Talking to DC, Sarish says, “Imai is a romantic story directed by Vijay K. Mohan and revolves around a thug and an intelligent girl. It’s based on a real-life story, which was narrated to the director by the concerned person involved during a train journey. I used to look plump and fair skinned. The director told me to reduce my weight and change my skin tone. I took it seriously and started on a strict diet and exercise regime for three months. Besides, I tanned my skin by standing in the hot sun everyday.”

The actor opines that one cannot cheat today’s audiences. “One has to really work hard and at the same time look realistic on screen. I think I have given my 100 per cent.” Akshaya Priya from Telugu, who was noticed for her role in Marudhu, essays his pair. On Vincent Selva’s film, he says, “It is yet to be titled and it’s bilingual. I can’t reveal much about the movie at this point of time!”
