Manishajith takes the glam route

Child artiste turned heroine Manishajith, who has been rechristened as Rehana for better fortunes, has, however, gone back to her original name for some reasons. The actress, hitherto seen in homely roles, has also taken the glam route in her upcoming flick Enakku Innum Kalyanam Aagalai. The film has comedian Jegan taking the hero avatar and playing a cop.

Directed by Murugalingam, a former associate of Karthik Raghunath, EIKA is a comedy caper that revolves around a cow. Chaams and Ashmitha play important roles.

Going by the promo stills, it appears Manishajith has all of sudden going the glamour way. “There’s a rural kuthu song Vaadi Vaadi En Valayapatti Melame penned by noted screen writer Karaikudi Narayanan which needed some kind of glamour and peppiness. Though Manisha was a bit hesitant initially, she agreed finally,” says a unit source.
