I don’t believe in number games: Sivakarthikeyan
The actor, in a freewheeling interview, speaks about various things, including his concern over the education system.
Sivakarthikeyan, who is basking in the success of Namma Veettu Pillai, is hoping to repeat the magic with his upcoming flick Hero, which apparently has a superhero subject. While PS Mithran directs the film, Kalyani Priyadarshan makes her foray into K'town as Siva’s romantic pair.

Tell us about Hero
The movie is akin to Velaikkaran, with a serious subject. However, comedy is sprinkled through it in proper proportions. And, this 'Hero' is not a fantasy film and he is not a superman with super powers, it is about how an 'aam aadhmi' (common man) turns hero when circumstances warrant."
It’s a subject not tried by Rajinikanth or Vijay, isn’t it?
These stars don’t need a mask. They are already superheroes and I am still in the growing stage. And for those who remark that I imitate Rajini Sir and Vijay Sir, I am clear on my path. I have my own template and have succeeded in following that. And I want to keep changing my pattern.
On the reference to the education system, he said “The story idea is that one who thinks and acts on his/her own is a real ‘superhero’. How our education system has made people selfish has been dealt with. We have given a solution to it as well. All parents and students can relate to the subject.”
On the Number Games: “I don’t give so much importance to number games. I am not competing with anybody. However, I am keen to find out about the box office results. If my distributors tell me that they are happy, having made good returns with my previous films, I will think twice before doing my next film, to retain the success. Only then can I go to the next level. Cinema is my passion. And that was the reason I started my own production banner, where I have the liberty to experiment with scripts.”
Tell us about your future films: Doctor with Nelson Dilipkumar and a sci-fi fiction with Ravikumar. My production venture includes one more film Vaazhl.
