Anushka front-runner for Ajith 57?

This is the latest buzz on Thala 57 — Anushka Shetty, who earlier teamed up with Ajith for Gautham Menon’s Yennai Arindhaal, has been approached for Thala’s yet-to-be-titled flick. It is for the third time that director Siva join hands with Ajith, following Veeram and Vedalam. We’re waiting to see if Anushka, who is busy with several projects including Baahubali –The Conclusion, would dole out dates when she’s available. Some of the other heroines like Tamannaah, Nayanthara and Kriti Sanon are also being considered for the female lead, we hear.
Meanwhile, the director who has already started his preproduction work is camping in Kodaikanal along with the music sensation Anirudh, to compose the tracks. The duo is taking extra steps to create the same magic they managed to stir in Vedalam. The movie is likely to go on floors in June, but Anirudh wants to finish composing the songs before state elections begin in May. Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, the movie is said to be a 2017 Pongal treat for Ajith’s fans.
