Vijay Sethupathi and son Suriya play petty thieves

Sethupathi plays the villain role in the Thailand portions of Sindhubaadh.

A short video of Vijay Sethupathi engaged in a mock fight with his son Suriya on the sets of Sindhubaadh went viral on online platforms recently. For his upcoming summer release of  Sindhubaadh, director Arun Kumar has once again roped in the duo who had acted together earlier in Junga.

Talking about Sindhubaadh, Arun says, “It is an action thriller and Anjali will be seen romancing Sethu in this movie. She has a powerful role and she has nailed it. VSP’s son Suriya appears in a crucial role and the father and son essay petty thieves hailing from Tenkasi. The story revolves around a humble man who wants to lead a simple life but the society would never allow him.”

Sethupathi plays the villain role in the Thailand portions of Sindhubaadh. He has put on up to 18 kgs and while sporting a rough and rugged look for the film. He is also said to have taken efforts to learn the language, habits, and lifestyle of the people of Thailand. Vivek Prasanna will also be seen in a key character besides George providing comic relief. The movie has been shot in virgin locations in Tenkasi, Malaysia and Thailand, claims an inside source.

Yuvan Shankar Raja has provided the musical score. An international orchestra is being employed for the re-recording and background music work, currently in progress in Dubai. Hollywood stunt master Nung aka Pradit Seeluem has directed the action scenes in Thailand. Bankrolled by K Productions and Vansan Movies, Vijay Kannan Karthik is behind the camera.
