Thitti Vaasal imparts a message

Thitti Vaasal is a film that takes place at the backdrop of a jail. Reportedly, the title denotes the small entrance to the prison. Directed by Pratap Murali, the movie revolves around the life of native tribes from hilly terrains and their constant problems with the police officials.
Speaking to DC, Pratap says, “How the tribal people from the hills are exploited and dragged into many unwarranted criminal cases forms the crux of the story. When I approached Nasser sir for the crucial role of tribal head, he was very busy with dozen films in hand. Still, he patiently listened to my narration. He was impressed with the story and agreed to come on board. He gave us tremendous co-operation during the shoot.”
Mahendran and Tanu Shetty play the lead pair and Kannada actor Chinni Vinod and Aishwarya are also part of the film. “The movie imparts a larger message,” the director claims. The film is scheduled for September 22 release.
