Kathiravanin gets a rerelease
Now, the movie, which has lyrics written by Vairamuthu, is getting a new lease of life.
Dhanush’s cousin, Kannan’s movie, Kathiravanin Kodai Mazhai, which had a low-key release in March 2016, eventually vanished from theatres, unnoticed.
Now, the movie, which has lyrics written by Vairamuthu, is getting a new lease of life. Producer-turned-hero, Suresh of Studio 9, is re-releasing the film in a big way.
Directed by Kathiravan, the movie, which starred Kannan and Sri Priyanka, (who has rechristined herself as Srija), in the lead, is about brother-sister bonding. While director M. Kalanjiam plays the brother, Srija plays the sister. After watching the film, producer Suresh admits, “There was never a dull moment in the film. I didn’t expect the movie to be so good. I want Kathiravanin... to reach a larger audience and so, I decided to re-release it across a number of screens this Friday.”
