Well-made political satires have always appealed to audiences. Here is ace filmmaker Hari’s co-director Murugesh Bharathi who has done intense movies like Thagappansami trying his hand now with a film titled Vengada Subbramani Mic Testing 1...2...3. Playing the titular role is debutant Roshan. Tollywood heroine Harshitha Panwar has been roped in to essay his pair. The actor talks about his entry with a power-packed role of a simple mic-set person turning a revolutionist to DC.
“Those who speak lies do not deliberately do that and circumstances play a part in it. The impact created when people in responsible positions and those in power (politicians) tell lies, is addressed in my movie. I play a person who takes a mic-set contract for political meetings. A certain incident while working for one of the political gatherings changes my life totally. When I start digging at the issue, there’s a revelation,” says Roshan who also doubles up as a producer.
He quickly adds, “Though there are references to PM Modi to Rajinikanth in the script, the content does not hurt anyone. It is, in fact, a comical take on the present situation. I am confident that people will hesitate to tell a lie after watching our movie! The brother-sister bonding is another highlight of the movie. Anu Krishna will be seen playing my sister. It is a clean movie devoid of smoking or drinking scenes.”
