Pattarai talks about girls' safety
Peter Allvin, a former assistant of KV Anand who turns independent with a film titled Pattarai, reiterates the idea in a commercial format.
The recent film Ezhumin stressed on the need to teach girl children self-defence techniques besides academics. And interestingly, on Friday, TN government announced that from next week onwards, girl students are to be taught Karate and other self-defence martial arts at Government schools.
Peter Allvin, a former assistant of KV Anand who turns independent with a film titled Pattarai, reiterates the idea in a commercial format. He has roped in JD Chakravarthy in the lead role.
Peter says, “Though the parents ensure that their children get the best of everything, how effectively we have educated our girl children at home about their safety measures is a matter of concern. They still remain feeble and victimised by predatory people. We’ve tried to show that teaching self-defence to our kids makes them emotionally strong to face grave situations.
Pattarai will showcase such a theme. Comedian Senthil will be seen in an unconventional role for the first time, which will not have any hilarious shades. Others in the star cast include Renuka, Dikshana, Dhanapal and few transgender actors playing important roles in second half. Devan Ekambaram does the songs.
