Michael's next is Padhungi Paayanum Thala
Set in a rural backdrop, this film was shot across Theni and Periyakulam.
Michael who made a promising debut with Dharanidharan’s Burma is now part of a family entertainer titled Padhungi Paayanum Thala, directed by Moses Muthupandi, a former associate of SA Chandrasekar.
Speaking about the film, Michael says, “I will be seen in a rugged look throughout the film and I was asked to master the Madurai slang to bring authenticity to my role. My character will be completely contrasting to Nalan from Nalanum Nandhiniyum.”
Set in a rural backdrop, this film was shot across Theni and Periyakulam. This fun-filled romantic comedy also has MS Bhaskar and Vela Ramamurthy in important roles. “He is a great writer and he guides me on the sets. Also, he has worked with top heroes from the industry, and is helpful in improvising scenes,” he says about Vela Ramamurthy.
Vallavan will be composing for the family entertainer which has four songs. “I knew Vallavan for 10 years and we jointly sat together for the script and came up with tunes,” Michael asserts.
The shooting of the film is nearly complete with two songs pending. Slated to be a January 2017 release, Padhungi Paayanum Thala also has Udhaya Banu of Rahul Thatha fame, Singapore Deepan and Singam Puli in significant roles.
